Bernice Godbott, a cherished soul known for her warmth and vibrant spirit, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025 at the age of 83. Bernice, a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, left a legacy of love and dedication that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Bernice was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Godbott and a nurturing mother to Andre Godbott II. Her role as a grandmother to Andre Bollam-Godbott and Jacob Bollam-Godbott filled her life with joy and pride. She was a sister who shared an unbreakable bond with Barbara Gant, Sammie Gant, Howard Gant, Calvin Gant, Glenda Gant-Martinez, Mary Gant, Chris Gant, and Paul Gant. Born to the late Johnny Gant and Mamie King, Bernice's life was a testament to her parents' love and values.
For 35 years, Bernice served as an administrative assistant at NASA, where her dedication and hard work left an indelible mark on her colleagues and the organization. Her passion for her work was matched only by her love for shopping and engaging in lively conversations with friends, family, and even strangers. Bernice's ability to connect with people was one of her most endearing qualities. Her involvement and commitment to others were sources of inspiration to many.
THE VISITATION FOR BERNICE WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, MARCH 14, 2025 FROM 11AM-12PM AT JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL ROAD, STRONGSVILLE. THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL FOLLOW ON FRIDAY, MARCH 14, 2025 AT 12 PM, ALSO AT THE FUNERAL HOME, WHERE FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL SAY THEIR FINAL FAREWELLS.
