Anthony F. Gamon's Obituary
Anthony F. Gamon, 92, passed away on Thursday, October 12th, 2023.
He was born on June 13th, 1931, to the late John and Rosalia Gamon in Footdale, Pennsylvania.
Anthony served in the Army during the Korean War, and then worked as a cement finisher until his retirement in 1995. He loved to be outside and work on small projects within his home, including his pool which hosted many memorable gatherings over the years. Anthony enjoyed watching football, especially the Pittsburg Steelers and Cleveland Browns. He was a very meticulous man, and he made sure anything he did was perfect.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Mary Gamon; children Barbara Herzing, Rose (Tony) Hargreaves, Jean Yates, Leonard (Merrilee) Bost, Brian (Theresa) Bost, Thomas (Linda) Bost, and Patrick Bost; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his first wife Lida Claire, and his 10 siblings.
VISITATION will be held on SUNDAY, October 15th from 12pm – 2pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held on MONDAY, October 16th at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
No flowers please, donations can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
