Ann V. Sokany (nee Sheedy). Died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife of Matthew Sokany for 58 years; cherished mother of Matthew (Michele Macedonio), Dr. Nancy Sokany (John Gallucci), Christine (deceased), Geralyn (Gerald) Cunningham and Stephen (Matthew Katz). Dearest grandmother of Katherine, Morgan, Colin, Anna, Danny and Michael and great grandmother of Jett and Fiore. Loving sister of Madelyn Schraf (Joseph) (both deceased), Eileen Aigner (deceased) (Frank), Gertrude Schrenk (deceased) (Thomas), Patrick (Karen) and Madden (Bernie); Aunt and Great Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Our heartfelt thanks to Tamara, Terry and Sara and the countless others who provided their loving care to our parents. The family will receive friends at the JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville, Ohio on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 12700 Pearl Road, Strongsville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls or Reach One Touch One Ministries. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
