Ann B. Lavelle-Varley's Obituary
Our mother, Ann Lavelle- Varley (nee: Egan), 92, entered into holy rest and peace on October 7, 2014. Devoted daughter of the late John & Mina Egan. Loving sister of Patricia Koliha and the late Mary Downes, Eileen Kuhen, and John Egan. Ann was united in the sacrament of matrimony with her “love at first sight” Bernard Lavelle. Together they had four children: Mary Ellen Fedan (Steve), Michael Lavelle (Terri), Gerry Plunkett (Jim) and Colleen Hennessey (Skip). After Bernard’s passing in 1963, Ann continued to raise their children with fortitude, guidance and unconditional love. Cherished grandmother of Kyle Hennessey (Emily), Evan Hennessey (Sarah), Erin, Kelsey, Malorie and Connor Hennessey, Meghan Douglass (Chris), Chris and Mike Lavelle, and the late Jimmy Plunkett. Great-grandmother of Cody, Cameron, Jameson, and Keegan. Special aunt of many nieces and nephews.
In 1971, she married the late Paul Varley. Ann retired from St. Ann’s Church where she worked as the secretary. Her entire life was devoted to her family and faith, which always shined through her.
VISITATION SUNDAY 3-8PM AT JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD. STRONGSVILLE. Mass of Christian Burial, MONDAY 10am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Strongsville.
Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
