Alice Lynn Leach's Obituary
Alice Lynn Leach, a beacon of warmth and care in her community, passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 67 in her hometown of Cleveland, OH. Born on August 27, 1956, also in Cleveland, to the late Cas and Irma Zekoski. Alice's life was a testament to her dedication to family, her passion for her profession, and the joy she found in simple pleasures.
Alice is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 19 years, Randolph C. Leach. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lindsay (Shelby) Taylor, Ashley Leach, and Nick (Danae) Leach, who were the center of her world. Her role as a grandmother to Savannah Leach was one she cherished with all her heart. Alice also leaves behind her step-sister, Dr. Ellen Zekoski.
In 1977, Alice embarked on her lifelong calling when she graduated from Lutheran Nursing School. Her compassion and skill led her to a fulfilling career, culminating in her role as a Nursing Manager of Southwest Hospice, where she served for 15 years. Alice's gentle touch, patience, and understanding provided comfort to countless individuals and their families during the most challenging times of their lives.
Beyond her professional achievements, Alice was known for her exceptional culinary skills, particularly when it came to hosting family holidays. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, filled with the aroma of lovingly prepared dishes that brought everyone together. Her hands, so skilled in providing care, were equally talented at creating cross-stitch pieces, a hobby she found relaxing and rewarding. An avid reader, which was apparent in the vast collection of books that graced her shelves.
Alice's love for nature was evident in the beautiful garden she tended with care. Each flower and plant was a reflection of her ability to nurture and encourage growth, not just in her garden, but in the lives of those she touched. Above all, Alice will be remembered as an amazing mom and grandma.
VISITATION will be held on FRIDAY, April 12th from 3pm – 7pm at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. The FUNERAL SERVICE and burial will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA or the Southwest Hospice Fund.
