Bob and I worked together after school, on Saturdays and during vacations, earning our tuition by cleaning the hallowed halls of Saint Ignatius, High. We’d get done as soon as we could, so we could get down to the booster club and work on the posters and signs for the games and elections. There were lots of capers, best left untold, but our best was saving the wooden hour and minute hands from the clock tower of Saint Mary’s church when it was torn down in 68 or 69. We went our separate ways in college, meeting again at our 50th reunion. We were going to get together in April or May of this year, and it was so sad to hear of Bob‘s passing. Janet, it was so nice meeting you at Mama Santa’s in Little Italy , and I wish you and your family my thoughts and prayers in this hard time. Bob was a great guy. He had a heart of gold.
