We became friends of the Rabe family and spent much time at Panera's in Onalaska WI
We enjoyed seeing Julia (and Amanda) grow into beautiful, special young ladies. Our world has lost a special human that had much to offer. So sorry to see her gone. Richard and Nancy, may our love and caring for your family help to ease your pain.

Julia was physically one of the most naturally beautiful people I had ever met- alabaster skin and auburn curls. Her presence lit up a room or party. She made life seem easy even when hers wasn’t. She was determined in everything she did, without fear or hesitation. Strength and grace. May the Lord comfort all who mourn her passing. Julia was far more than my student; she became my friend. I was the program manager at OSU for the teacher preparation master’s program Julia was in during 2009-2010. I have many fond memories of those sixteen months -- and we kept in touch afterwards both professionally and personally. She sent me a picture of Rivyn that New Year’s Eve – the very day she was born. That says so much about our relationship. But what I treasure most about Julia is this special memory. She and Jason got married just a few months before one of my own children married. At the time my kid was going through serious health issues like Julia had dealt with when she had been in high school. Julia was so open with me about everything and checked up afterwards to inquire about my child’s prognosis. I will never forgot what she did for me. My love and sympathy for the Rabe and Hoy families.
