My heart is heavy with sadness. When I would visit Mark at the ancestral home for weekends in and after college, I could always count on two things from his dad: he'd be sitting on the couch watching television upon arrival and departure, and when he spoke he always seemed to be muffling a snicker. He must have thought we were fools, but he never said so.

For the children and grandchildren of Bill Reilley," Uncle" Jim was much more than just an uncle. He represented a generation of Reilley's that we would have otherwise missed. And he was also our friend. His wit, his mannerisms, and just his overall presence will be missed by all of us.
We had the pleasure of living next door to Jim and Bernie for the last 26 years.Jim was someone who truly cared about you, and we know we will never find a better neighbor. We were very fortunate to have known Jim and will dearly miss him.

Mr. Reilley was the gold standard for how to be a dad. I feel privileged to have known him. One sweet memory that just jumped into my head... I remember watching tv with him and Kevin when we were around 16. Mr. Reilley made us these really great ice cream sundaes and whipped up a batch of special, warm chocolate sauce.
