November 8, 1934 - August 29, 2021
Patricia Ann Masuga (nee Davidson), 87, passed away August 29, 2021. Beloved wife of James “Grampa Tex”. Loving mother of James (Susan), Daniel (Vicky), Cynthia Wilson (Terence), Sandra Stoyanoff (Mark), Scott, Candace Masuga, and Theresa French (Michael). Daughter of the late George and Elizabeth “Bessie” Davidson. Sister of George, Eloise, Tom, Margaret, Billy, Bobby, Joe, and Mickey. Proud grandmother of Tracy, Brandon, Jake, Chase, Kyleen, Kyra, Candace, Natalie, Michaela, Kelly, Eric, Shawn, Corey, Chantel, Cody James, Max, Addison, and Beck. Dear great-grandmother of Kaylee, Adalynn, Piper, Sloane, Audriana, Anastasia, Luke, Mila, Harrison, Emmeline, Eloise, Wade, Chase, Blake, Emerson, and Sawyer. Patricia was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio and was a proud graduate of West Tech High School where she founded Psi Eta Chi, an underground Sorority. Her fellow classmates predicted that she would be elected the first lady president. Patricia met the love of her life, Jim, at the 5 & 10-cent store in Old Brooklyn. They were married in 1954 and remained steadfast lovers, best friends and inseparable partners for 66 years. Together they proudly raised an army of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Patricia had an unwavering dedication to her career at SWGH, where she was Assistant to the Director of Nurses for 27 years. She was well known for her fast-paced walk and clicking high heels. (Hence the beautiful legs). Though she worked full time, she never missed any of her children’s or grandchildren’s events, and there were MANY. No matter what crazy antics the children threw her way, Patricia was up for the challenge. Be it Club Scout projects, Campfire Girl Leader, T-Ping football player’s houses, making a lasagna dinner for the entire football team and cheerleaders, Friday Night Mom, or even helping kidnap the wrestlers with her cheerleader daughters and bringing them to her home for breakfast. The list goes on and on. Somehow Patricia made time for everyone and always made you feel special. Patricia was the “ Bestest cooker in the West” and always had an open seat at her table. She often made meals and took them to her friends who were sick or alone. Thanksgiving dinners were legendary and because of her we all know how to flute a perfect piecrust. We all enjoyed her beautiful soprano vocals whether around the campfire or in a church pew on Sunday. She loved ballroom dancing, square dancing and fishing (Recipient of many Fish Ohio awards). She was Jim’s best First Mate. When there was any spare time Patricia was always available for a mean game of Pinnacle. Patricia was a devoted, fun-loving Irish lady who will forever be our rock, our queen , and the strongest person we have ever known. Services will be held privately for the family. NO FLOWERS PLEASE.
