    Joseph James Pitonak

    April 14, 2022

Joseph James Pitonak, 73, passed away April 14, 2022. Loving father of Audrey Pitonak-Goff (Tim) and Clinton Pitonak (Kim). Son of the late Joseph and Violet Pitonak. Brother of Shirley Juarez (Albert), Janice Krisko (Ronald), Curtis Pitonak (Sheri), Daniel Pitonak (Pam), Gary Pitonak, and the late Virginia Jean Olen, Nancy Pitonak, and James Pitonak. Dear grandfather of Joseph Arthur Pitonak (Savanna), Nadia Whitley Irene Goff, Waylon Jay Goff. Great grandfather of Daisy Josephine Pitonak. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Our loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend, who departed from the earth unexpectedly, graduated from Strongsville Senior High School in 1966 then joined the Navy. Shortly thereafter he was joined in marriage to Irene Tiedman. They had two children, Audrey and Clinton. He returned to school and graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College with a Bachelor of Science Education degree in 1985. After thirty years of marriage, Joe and Irene parted ways. During his life, Joe dedicated his career to law enforcement, security, and elementary education. Joe leaves behind many who will miss him dearly. He penned many poems which he freely gifted to others especially in their time of need. He was a sensitive soul who shared his love and kindness with family and friends. In childhood, he learned to hunt, and his passion carried with him throughout life. Joe was well-known among those that loved him for sharing the fruits of his cooking skills. He always made sure that whatever he served did not just taste delicious but also looked appealing. He was most at peace when he was in nature observing the birds outside of his window or watching a family of deer wander through the woods. In Joe’s own words, The new earth will be more beautiful than the rainbow or butterfly, More peaceful than a spring rain in the flower garden, More tender than the love of your soul mate, More quiet than a baby’s first breath. All this because the savior, creator, Jesus will make it so!!! ALL SERVICES WEDNESDAY APRIL 20, 2022. Visitation from 11AM-1PM with a Funeral Service to begin at 1PM at JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, 15822 PEARL RD, STRONGSVILLE. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at http://www.stjude.org/.
