    Canyon Howard Leisinger

    September 1, 1998 - April 2, 2022

Canyon Howard Leisinger, 23, passed away on April 2, 2022 with his parents holding him and his Auntie Mo by his side. He was born on September 1, 1998 to David and Heidi (nee Sherman) Leisinger. Canyon didn’t just enter the world to his parents, but also to his twin brother, Sayre, who was 8 minutes older. Canyon attended Strongsville High School and graduated in 2017. He was very special to his family and he was a tremendous joy to everyone he came into contact with. Canyon loved chocolate including Hershey’s kisses, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and above all, chocolate pudding. He loved being outside, camping, hiking, and traveling with his family. Canyon was also fond of spending time with his brother and watching him play and work on different projects. He very much enjoyed the simple things in life. Canyon is survived by his parents, David and Heidi Leisinger; brother Sayre Leisinger; aunts and uncles, Jeff (Tess) Leisinger, Linda (Rob) Leisinger, Karen (Al) King, Mark (Katherine) Leisinger, Donna Leisinger, Maureen Leisinger, Jennifer (Pete) DiCola, Scott (Lorie) Sherman, and Matt (Joanna) Sherman; and many cousins and extended family who loved him dearly. He is also survived by his dog, 7, who was always by Canyons side. He is preceded in death by his aunt, Joanne Leisinger; grandparents, Tom (Claire) Leisinger, and Howard (Anne) Sherman; and a very special friend, who was like family, "Uncle Mike" - Michael Hudson. VISITATION will be held on TUESDAY, April 5, 2022 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Road, Strongsville. CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE will be held at 7 p.m. following the visitation. No flowers please. Canyon and his brother, Sayre, shaved their heads on multiple occasions to support the St. Baldricks Foundation. The family asked that we continue that and make all donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/donate
